Kansas Church Members Plan To Protest Local Soldier`s Funeral

Members of a controversial Baptist church in Kansas have announced plans to protest at a soldier`s funeral here in Beaumont this Saturday.
Members of the Westboro Baptist Church claim they are not protesting the soldier, instead they are protesting the funeral.
They claim military funerals are nothing more than a patriotic pep rally for a country that is full of sin.
Staff Sgt. Edward Charles Reynolds of Port Arthur died last month while serving in Iraq.
His body is scheduled to arrive in Houston Wednesday and from there it will be escorted by police officers and patriot guards back home.
Funeral services for the 27-year-old father of three are scheduled Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Borden Chapel Baptist Church in Beaumont.
On its website the Westboro Baptist Church confirmed plans to attend the funeral.
This church has a history of picketing outside of military funerals and has gained international attention for doing so.
According to its website, members of the church believe God is killing soldiers for the sins of America.
