The problem is that the hardcore players and pros no how to get around this, however it may stop the newbie players from entering the field. This is bad for pro players (at least lower tier pro players) because they make most of their money of the less knowledgable players. Of course there will still be the guys that just keep losing and want to play anyway, but the newbie who sits at the 2/4 or 3/6 table online for the first time because he is the king of his home poker game may become less frequent.
Guys I know who do this tell me that the golden age was a few years ago, right when the poker shows hit cable. The online sites where flooded with players who had NO CLUE about strategy and odds. It was pretty easy for a knowledgable player to exploit this.
I actually considered pursuing a career in online poker, I chose porn instead. Man am I glad I did
