Negative @ Hitachi = IBM. After the IBM deskstar fiasco from around the year 2000 with the cliky noise of death and drives randomly loosing all data (due to a firmware glitch) IBM pretty much got out of it. Hitachi took over the HD dev. and ever since about 2003 their drives have been rock solid. I've yet to have an Hitachi die while during the same time period I've had a couple from each major brand die (mainly maxtors lol).
