You know what, being a mother I felt a lot of pity for NoCarrier's situaton, I imagined how I would feel if it was my kids. I didn't donate, I generally prefer to donate to local charities (like the local hospital fund) so my donations are going somewhere where I can SEE the results. Not that I fault anyone else for donating and wanting to help, it's beautiful and touching to see people pull together like this for a child... It's all that other shady shit that seems to be going on that's putting a damper on the enjoyment of seeing people be kind.
