Oddly enough I answered I post like this on another board yesterday...
First off your in the right place to do bussiness. Boston is full of college students, Starving college students! Find a good underground newspaper not a college pager, an underground paper. Underground papers usually have articles about porn, they also do alot of revues on Clubs, Alternative and Techno music ... etc this is the type of paper you want. Put in an ad looking for Adult models, Not models fpr adult work. Just adult models you can mention nudes if you like but that's not nessary. Be sure to mention that it's for web, video, magazine...etc. Leave a phone number not a mailbox number .. because with a mail box number you'll get more hang ups then calls. Oh and one more thing do not exclude Men or couples and do not put an age range (MILF's are gold). Next once these prospective "Models" call in. This is when you mention Nude, not sex, not hardcore and defintaly don't tell them your looking for anal ! LOL
Don't say more then needed and always mention that all information will be disclosed during the intial interview. During the interview you let the bag out of the cat so to speak ... You tell them there will be nudes, sex etc. But keep repeating that they will not be forced to do anything they are not comfortable with. If the interviewee is there for more then 5 minutes you've got them ... Don't Complement them on who good they look or tell them they will make lots of money .. either tell them your hourly rate or daily rate that's all. The amounts that thye could make will solely depend on them. Don't be scared to ask them to remove all they're clothing .. and by all means don't have a smile on your face when you ask this. During the interview have your best poker face .. Hell that goes for when your shooting too.
If you look eager you will not get anyone, not even the crack whores.
Take pictures of them nude (and post them here for evaluation, LOL) Full body shots, nothing exotic this is for your reference files. A frontal and back shot ..if you notice tattoo's or bruises take close up pitures of them ...
For male models I used to make them jerk off in front of a fully dress man. this is to prove to me that they can still preform under stress, Sorry it's not nessary for women or couples.
Get all the legal information ahead of time. They're ID , 2 photo Ids should be good, do not accept a student ID card as ID. Make a photocopy or photograph the ID. Have them sign a release form. A standard one is fine (you can easly fond them on the web). Even though they haven't preformed they need to sign it for your files .. Before every shoot Take a picture of they're ID, a Portrait of them (to make sure it's the same person) and have them sign a release. FOR EVERY SHOOT!
THe need for a stdio is not nessary but a great plus. However you do need a private office to do the interviews in.
I never need more then 2 hours to shoot a scene, but that's me, I've been shooting for 13 years.
Model Rates: Good question .. THere was a time when I paid $100 a shoot, but those days are gone. Most do it like this...
$100/hour solo no sex, no video
$200/Scene (Max 2 hours) For masturbation Solo
$150 or 200/hour for Girl/girl
$250 to 300/hour for Girl/guy
Daily rates based on 8 hour day
$600 solo
$800 Girl/Girl
$1000 Girl/Guy
$1200 Anal
These rate vary and I usual decide the rate based on the person I'm interviewing .. Hell I'll offer $50 if I think they'll take it ... That's what the interview process is for. you take notes on they're mood, posture ...etc
As for the rest of your questions I'll let you think about it .. Use common sense ... A word to the wise, Don't do this on your own, Just because you bought a camera and are ready to burn some cash doesn't make you a pornographer. It takes a certain type of person to pull this off. And if the only reason your doing this is to get your rocks off, Rent some movies and leave the real work to the pros. With this said I wish you the best of luck..
