The bad burns were from her panty hose melting, which made it something else and not just the coffee..
True, the coffee caused the melting, but that's what caused the severity..
However.. anyone who would put a styrofoam cup full of hot coffee between their legs while trying to drive isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer anyway...
