I got CNE certification in Novell by passing 7 tests in 1994, and then became a CNI (certified Novell Instructor) which got me grandfathered into MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer), but each course I wanted to teach I had to pass the test for it. Any new versions that came out I had to constantly certified for. I made a lot of money back then teaching at certified centers, but I got sick and tired of studying and passing test so I finally became a pimp

I'm on the path to CCIE as my end game.... So far its not that bad at all, just after doing classes a few hours a day, working in Mainstream IT, then my projects in adult, THEN re-reading some Cisco materials ..... its an 18 hour day, 7 days a week ...
In the long run = Totally worth it for the pain now of never sleeping without dreaming of routing, switching and packets dancing in my head.
