Being doing that for quite a while, with so so success:

- Make image of DVD ( 4.2 to 4.7 gigs )
- rar image in 25 parts
- create pars if needed to repair

Surfer:
- Download
- Unrar with Winrar
- Burn image bin to CD with Nero
