I have their bare bones service (1 TB per month bandwidth or whatever), which I use to test new sites I'm working on before transfering them over to more reliable hosts. I also host some personal projects there which don't have lots of traffic or require 100% uptime.
For that, Dreamhost is very good. At least that package is very good.
But for mainstream ecommerce (my line of business) or something serious or valuable, choose someone else.
