There are no standards.
There are a few attempts to create databases w/ all the info in them, but there's only one 'complete' public one that I know of - and it's really quite inconsistant.
I maintained a full database [model, brand, screen width, height, colour depth, active screen size, audio capabilities] for a few months - and it was a LOT of hard work :|
