/thanks

RSS feeds are a great way of delivering information a lot like a news feed. If you look at the feed in any browser you will see tags which describe things like "description" and "date" etc, which contain all the information necessary to add fresh content to your site.

You can add rss feeds to your site in a variety of ways, most people use wordpress to power their blogs for instance, and there are various plugins written to take RSS feeds like mine and actually have them work to update your site.

If you look at http://www.a1ka1ine.com/blog this site actually uses the feeds we have made available to update itself, so you can get an idea of whats possible. Blogs are really search engine friendly - they can be spidered easily with permanent links to the posts, and all the posts can be categorised easiyl and people can comment on them so you can start to create a community even with enough traffic.

There are other sponsors out there that also offer RSS feeds for their content, a great one is OCCash and they have some great vids on how to use their feeds with a blog.

If you want to talk about RSS a little more feel free to hit me up on icq
