Yeah I had a hell of a time with ICQ until like yesterday.
Happened when I transferred two 80G hardisks to a new, faster machine... so I thought it was the download. Redid it twice. Fucker would just tell me it was connected for like half an hour.
Finally let it install with the browser homepage and the toolbar and all that crap, uninstalled all that crap, and it happened to work... hasn't screwed up since...
Could it be they want you to use their damn bookmark and toolbar??
