There are a few things you can do, such as request root access.


You can verify that besides system users and yourself no one else is present in /etc/passwd (again you may need root access to verify this depending on how your account is locked down).

You can always check your dmesg and verify it against what your hosting company told you your specs where.

dmesg basically displays everything that was detected during boot up, so you can verify your harddrives, cpus, ram, etc. - should be available as "dmesg" from your command-line.

Thats a good start.
