You say that the figure shown at first is the correct number and they halve it.
The first number shown is ALWAYS an even number - why do you think that is? - if its the
actual number of raws surely it would be sometimes even and sometimes odd.
The next clue for you is simple maths - you take any number and double it the result is an even number.
So the higher number that is shown and then changes CANT be the actual number of raws - it dosnt make sense.
You also say that it happens all the time - so it cant be an error - we are talking about computers doing calculations... think about it.
It just takes a little bit of lateral thinking.
