What Spermy said is bang on the mark.
I quit about 3 months ago and found that the hardest part was the oral fixation and chewing gum was by far the best method.
Apart from that, it just takes a shtiload of will power. FWIW - I quit for much the same reason as you mentioned deb, my chest and lungs felt sooo heavy YUK. Feel like a million bucks now and have no intention of ever starting again. Good luck with the quitting
