In total honesty, I don't think I've ever asked anyone for a bump. The links I send 99.99% of the time are about YOU/Your program (whomever it may be) or if it is a TB thread, it's a thread that has links or an announcement that affects you & I very rarely do that - it's just not my style. I'd much rather contact you to explain how it affects you directly.
Needless to say - I will bump people that:
1) The topic at hand affects me and is important/funny/interesting
2) If it's someone I deal with that has an announcement
3) Someone I chat with regulary & the thread is important/funny/interesting
The ones that come out of the woodwork and ICQ me for thread bumps ONLY (meaning, the history file only shows something like 'show some love http://linktogfythread' - hey howz about some bumpz http://linktogfythread' ) are the ones that irritate me.
You are an interesting brain to pick, rarely have to ask (cuz I've already replied) and aren't a drive-by 'bump requester'
