This is extremely important. I do not want them to think they're being mislead either, which is the reason why I'd like to see this system working better. If the sign says "Live", I want it to be that way. If she's wearing a leopard thong in the ad, she better have it on when my surfer reaches her page [another good reason why we should be able to link to a profile with a live snapshot immediately].
If I'm advertising "Live", it has to be live, no matter the disadvantage of her current snapshot showing her eating a Big Mac.
The whole point of the webcam market is that whatever the customer sees is actually happening somewhere in the world in real time. Proof of this is the fact that there is still a webcam market, even after some sponsors have started to migrate to high definition.
Unfortunately, too many assholes have already played the misleading link trick. We need to keep it as straight as possible to come off as a trustworthy site. Well, we actually need to be a trustworthy site and misleading is the first thing that will break our fragile credibility.
