You heard wrong. It only hurts if the paintballs are frozen. I played it wearing a t-shirt and got hit in the arms plenty of times and it only left minor bruises. If you've played football or another contact sport, you won't mind the pain from paintball. Maybe you'll whine like a bitch if you're a tennis player or some shit.
