Now Chris Matthews, Lou Dobbs and even Joe Scarborough all do it. If only MSNBC and CNN had allowed this prior to the 2004 elections.

I'd say it's just chickens coming home to roost at last. Prior to this, Bush and Co. have been living in a perfect world where they never had to account for what they did or didn't do because the media has been scared shitless of them. It's about time the fourth estate remembered what their job description entails.
Also, it's not bashing if it's the truth. Rush Limbaugh bashes. Olbermann reports and gives reasoned opinions about indisputable fact.
