Well I'm not really into TV/DVD combos. if the DVD fucks up you have to take the whole tv to get repaired. Not to mention you have a HDTV but the DVD is a standard DVD player not a HD one.

Also for $1000 I'd think you should get HDMI and 400 cd/mē brightness is really rather weak. Hope you plan on watching tv in total darkness.

For $100 less you could have gotten something like this. Though I can't vouch for this TV. Same contrast raito but 550 cd/mē and has HDMI.
