You are wrong if you think that a condom can protect from all the toxic shit that might come with your favourite sex toy.
E.g. Phthalates can go through the structure of latex. As already mentioned, these substances are banned in Europe for toys, food industry and medical uses.
Get a toy made of medical grade silicone or (real) latex. They are more expensive, the choice is limited, but your health is worth it.
