Man.. it's a totally different world - nobody gives a damn - very laid back.
Very first time I saw it - it was the people and small stuff that impressed. We were driving a bit and needed a drink so went to this thatched beach bar and asked for "anything" wet.
The barman gets a guy up the tree to knock down some coconuts and uses a machette to hack off the tops and pours an assortment of spirits into it - this was a drink on the house - no charge. Just a totally different attitude - especially for us from "civilized world"
