I personally don't get scat, pissing, torture or violent movies. But just because "I" don't get them or like them, doesn't mean that others don't. Who am I, or who is ANYBODY to say what one can delve pleasure from? Again, CP should clearly be illegal. Beastiality should be illegal. Neither of those parties can legally sign a consent form.
I've spoken out against Rob Black in the past because I didn't like the image his movies portrayed. After some long drawn out debates with a few people in the industry about it, I came to realize that I WAS WRONG. I still don't like his content, but if there is a market for it, and the participants are willing, he should have every right to produce it.
If Rob Black loses his case, the Guhn's lose their case etc. etc. how long will it be before they come down on what WE as pornographers consider "Vanilla" porn? Threesomes? While many of us in the industry have participated in them, how many people OUTSIDE the industry haven't and would immediately consider it obscene? Facials, anal, ANYTHING GAY could ALL be considered obscene one day in the not too distant future.
What was obscene when Larry Flynt started publishing? A women's genitals. Why isn't that obscene today? Because society has progressed perhaps...for better or worse. Sex isn't as taboo a subject as it was even 20 years ago. Just turn on MTV to be witness to that. I for one would hate to see us regress to the point that a women's genitals are obscene. Guess what? SOME people STILL think that's obscene. Are they right? Who's right? That's the beauty of being free to choose what you watch.
One of the pitfalls of a free society is there is guaranteed to be something out there that you don't like and find repugnant. Having the luxury of a free society also allows you to choose whether or not you watch it or partake in it. MY freedom ends when it interferes with another person's rights. Freedom of choice doesn't interfere with anyone else's rights...censorship does.
