Her skin is shiny because my makeup artist uses a body spray on the girls before we shoot them. This spray moisturizes the skin and blends in any skin imperfections that the model might have. I also use a small amount of soft focus on my camera lens to keep the lens from being so sharp. When shooting girls, I don't like seeing the pores in their skin. This filter softens the image enough so that doesn't happen...but still retains some sharpness. I also do some sharpening in post.
