DamageX,
I did the WW diet a long time ago, went down to a size 36 myself, however the issue is I'm left with some funky stomach issues only after I ate WW food exclusively for about a year and change.
With above being stated, sure the NS diet might be in the same league as WW, but at this point it's like ya have nothin to lose. Damned weight with this work combined just won't shed. I don't know about the rest of ya, but I'm here usually from about 10am (sometimes as early as 5/6 AM) until 3am and sometimes even work a few days in a row without sleep. So it's rough to get time in + energy to excersize for me at least.

it is true the webmaster lifestyle is VERY bad for the body. and there are only so many hours per day to exercise.
at your height you would probably be very healthy at somewhere around
175-185 depending on how much muscle mass you want.
as someone here said ANY diet program can work but it is a LIFESTYLE change that is required and staying power.
you must design a diet/exercise routine that YOU can do long-term. at your current weight you will need about 18 months to get into top physical condition and get the flab off, any faster and the weight will not stay off.
you need BOTH cardio vascular AND resistance training to tone the body, and you MUST get on a very strict diet regimen for good health and long term weight control.
i am an advocate of bicycling 30 mins daily (either outdoors or with bike trainer) and bowflex, and a "raw foods" scientific diet heavy on unprocessed foods, fruits and vegetables, (usually steamed) whole grains, with some salmon, tuna, or chicken---but there are other ways to do it. you must limit salt and sweets. sweets will trigger food binges.
it did take me about 1 year to get in top physical condition, but i was not fat to start with.
you do not need any "canned" diet system---you need to learn about what the body really needs for health, read labels, prepare your own meals, eschew eating in restaurants, and take control of what you put in your mouth.
you can have a filling diet where you feel full on just 1800-2000 calories/day. but you MUST eat the right foods to do this, you should eat many little meals so you NEVER stretch your stomach, so a small high fiber meal will create satiation.
LOTS of info online, no time for a sermon today, but you cannot leave the responsibility to others for your personal health---get the info, implement the plan, and understand that it takes TIME, DISCIPLINE, and some actual physical WORK to stay in shape and be healthy.
good luck to you.
