All you need is a few quality affiliates and the sheep will follow. Maybe 1 or 2 sheep will get in ahead of time and make some serious money with your unique site in the mean time. Problem is too many ppl will go nah that doesn't really interest me and thus not push it because they do not see the value in uniqueness. I mean if you go to the hun 9 out of 10 links on there have no interest to me but i'd bet ppl are buying a shitload of it.
Sometimes it is hard as a webmaster and they say wow that is different why didn't they make it look better than a Bang Bros website? Soon they will realize what you have will sell and you will be rockin'. There is so much cookie cutter shit on the net that a novel idea will pay off. You have it and it may take a little longer to get a solid foothold but you will then ppl will be copying your shit.
