If either approach is used as mindlessly as you appear to imply, neither are going to earn a lot of money.

You are right to the extent that there is no special virtue as such in running a "real" blog. However your comments totally ignore what makes "real" blogs potential traffic generators and money spinners.

Realizing that potential is something else again, but that is true of any business model, so why so contemptuous of blogs? Certainly to make them work takes time and talent, especially in adult, because its appeal is primarily visual. But that alone is a reason to take them seriously.

What advantage can you hope to have over your competition if you have everything running on autopilot and produce nothing but clones of thousands of other sites around the web. If you have the ability to produce "real" blogs successfully, adult or mainstream, you have an opportunity such as doesn't exist unless you have the funds for an exclusive-content paysite. That is to be original. Get it right and it can pay off like nothing else.
