the other planes were going at the same relative speed....anyone 500 meters away or so could have seen the plane....anyone 1km away would certainly have seen it...anyone 2kms away would have certainly had time to watch it
you may not be able to freeze frame it in your mind...but i bet you can watch it come and go by you with no issues
