i ride my bike 8 miles every day and do the bowflex during the first part of letterman each night from the start of the program to the first commercial (13-16mins)
you do not really build huge muscle mass this way but you keep a permanent "swimmers build".
and the bowflex is very quiet.
you should do BOTH cardio and resistance training to be in max physical condition and good health.
