Beyond that, Zidane should have kept his head no matter what his opponent said, recognizing that it was simply a tactic to get him riled up. Trash talk is nothing new in sports.

Then, if Zidane still felt he had a score to settle, he could have done so after the game, which likely would have resulted in assault charges instead of a red card.
