Well, yes, you're all correct. I wouldn't give money to some guy with an idea on the board. By the way, I wasn't asking for GFY investors, I know that will never happen.
It's not like I think that all my ideas are pure genius, in fact, it's usually the other way around. That's why I'm going through so much trouble protecting this one.
I need to protect this idea until I'm the first one out there with it. I NEED to be first in the market. After that, everyone can lick my balls and copy it or do whatever they please. I don't think I would care because I was there first, and if I can develop it correctly, I shouldn't be afraid to have competition.
And yes, I'm in a tough spot. But I absolutely need to check and research the market before I can even hint something or look for investors.
I believe it's a great idea. Is there a market for it? I'll find out soon enough, although based on what I currently see out there, it's very possible.
Thank you for all the advice on the thread.
Also, I thought there was a standard way of handling this situation in the business. It seems that the only thing that can be done is a NDA and a no-compete if I want to tell someone about it.
