It's a shame he left loved one's behind but you must have respect for the way he lived his life promoting conservation and the care of wild animals with no thought for his own safety. There are many more conservation projects since he cam to the foreground on TV which will become lasting tributes to his life's work.

Totally agree
Was just chatting earlier about Steve with two guys here in Costa Rica who do similar work (limited TV - mainly National Geographic) - they both rated Steve *very* highly, not least for the fact he raised the profile of wildlife conservation on an international basis.
Good guy - sorry to see him depart.
