There are regular threads like this, but frankly in 5 years I haven't seen any major change. I think what really happens is that people simply get bored and start seeing the material differently.
Face it, primarily this is a newbie/surfer board. What else could it be with this name? Because of the amount of traffic, a lot of sponsors post their announcements here, but otherwise the frequent posters are almost all bottom-feeders.
The other reality is that most boards which tried to stay on track as it were, have all but died. Make of that what you will in terms of what it says about this business...
