I agree with some of the sentiments of your post, but then, when the adult industry is getting squeezed more - both from legal pressure, increased competition within the industry itself, people getting tired of seeing the same old 1996 paysite and the lines between the adult industry and mainstream entertainment industry blurring evermore, you are going to see more problems and less solutions.
I don't think the problem is the influx of new people, i think the "problem" is that the more established members are working harder at their actual jobs, and so having less time to peruse GFY, and hence next to no time to even enter into frivolous threads.
