Actually I was going to recommend the same thing. Why would you be kidding? It can get pretty cold on any island you go to if you travel to high enough elevations, which have some pretty cool views. Hell, I caught a nasty cold on the big island when I went to the volcano national park. Me was tough guy, just shorts and shirt, no jacket. Take rain gear too, like umbrella or raincoat.

okay, fair enough.... if you plan on going to the top of Haleakela, bring a sweatshirt. Otherwise, you won't need anything of the sort. I haven't worn a shirt or shoes since the day I landed here. It's 86 and sunny every stinking day. I think it's rained twice since July.... although one of those times it only lasted for 3 minutes.
So aside from hiking up the volcano, bikini and sunglasses are all that's required here. (maybe a top or a sundress if you go on a dinner cruise or something)
