I have a 9hp Craftsman - have had it for about 3 years now. It's seen plenty of snow.. wet, dry, icy, etc..
My only bitch about it is the chute is plastic - if you have thick, hard ice or pieces of asphalt from plows breaking the street, the chute will break. I've gone through 2 so far.
