People who tell you they can build a 100K TGP in a day or a week are either
A) Lying
B) Already control way more traffic than that and just divert some to the new project
or
c) It isn't "real" traffic. (By that I mean it's just circle jerked crap that won't make you any money)

If you want a consistent long term traffic base then you have to build it slowly. Work on organic search engine listings and give the surfers a good reason to bookmark your site.
It takes time, patience, and hard work. Anyone who tells you otherwise is no different than those late night infomercial guys who tell you that you can lose 100lbs by taking a pill or make a million dollars just by calling their 1-800 number.
