I applaud your noble cause, however to drive your bid higher this thread needs more drama.
If you could get one of the board trolls to start making malicious posts that you are harboring a secret plan to give the sig money away for AIDS research instead of using it for your stated causes, I think you would see the bid for your sig skyrocket.
Likewise, if you had a celebrity that could endorse your cause, like say, Joey Buttafucco, John Wayne Bobbitt, or even Tommy Lee, that would help by creating more drama sub-threads.
Sig whoring is a serious business. Not everyone can post "congratz", "I'd hit it" and such, day in and day, out and still respect themselves. It takes a special narcisstic breed to constantly tell everyone how great you are and insult anyone that questions otherwise. And not everyone can come up with thought provoking thread ideas like, "What's the longest turd you ever crapped?"
Stick with it though, and there are rewards beyond the simple monetary gain. First there is the fame that comes with being primarily known in life as a sig whore, and of course everyone will want to have their photo taken with you at tradeshows because, well, that's what people primarily do at tradeshows.
Finally, always remember that the true mark of a person on a board like GFY is post count...
