There is a way to get to where you want to be with the off shore banking thing. I just did the research for another company who wants to operate entirely off shore. Think the elections scared the crap out of him last week! It is actually quite simple and takes about two weeks to get it all done. I believe that it is going to be necessary to remove ourselves from the US both as businesses and for banking purposes if you wish to keep your site up without out interuption and money flowing. I know it is more expensive and US operators are spoiled by the low prices for hosting and the ease of banking(via third party billing companies) but they are loosing a lot of money for the convenience. Also in my research I have found that these companies (paypal-ibill) are being targeted by several of the states attorney generals for accepting payments for Adult entertainment....what a bummer!! One wonders what is in store for the next two years now that our politics are set?? a crystal ball would be a good thing to have right now.
Please bear in mind that I have only recently become involved in this industry(and may I say it doesn't suck!!) most interesting job I ever had!! I am strictly a business person looking at the whole thing from a business and bottom line perspective. My first thought was that if half the people in this industry were as good at business models as they were with making porn they would be instantly rich!! But as I have studied the boards I have found that the best thing most of them could do would be to hire a business manager who kept their butts out of trouble while they went off and did what they are best at...making content or finding it.
There are such obvious answers to questions like the new visa fee which had everyone up in arms about a month ago...How did that ever come out?? did everyone do it??
Get yourselves a good business model and take over the world..with everything that is going on in the economy right now..the one thing that is still selling is SEX!! Get yourselves positioned Safely for the next two years cause when mr Ashhahahahaha (whos first move was to cover the breasts of MS Justice) and his associates are ready to ask for another term to invade your privacy and take away your income...you will be ready and you can literally tell they to go do what this board says!!
