It's not an idea of "hooking up", just having someone who provides customer service excel in all facets of it. It also seems that people in the states are pretty open to just accepting whatever poor service is handed to them. If you do any international flying, you'll will see the obvious difference between the two.
If I was into BBW's, I would absolutely love to fly either Southwest or American airlines.
However, I do believe that a flight attendant should be able to fit down the isle and have service with a smile.
You did a good job describing US domestic flights to a "t" though.
