well snacks are important.
but if one is concerned about health and longevity most of these choices are wrong. you should snack on something like a raw unprocessed food with high fiber, high glycemic index, high nutrition, and low salt.
my favs: (i have a flat belly).
a gala apple
a red grapefruit
a couple rykrisp and unsalted natural peanut butter (no additives)
1/4 cup of raisins
a navel orange
a bowl of frozen blueberries
a whole grain rice cake with unsalted natural almond butter
a bowl of grapenuts cereal with raisins and skim milk
an imitation milk shake made of chocolate protein powder, nonfat dry milk, ice and water
2 plums
a plate of steamed cauliflower with ground pepper
a hard boiled egg
etc, etc
