On the subject of the thread - Americans have a "thing" about Asians, nothing new there, - along with an underlying psychology in prob most cases.

Not sure anyone has a "thing" about Americans - it's down to the individual as with most countries. With more defined races (rather than the melting pot) there is more chance of a general appeal.
