For some reason I get sub 3kb/sec transfers with trillian, and only msn works for transfers, aim and icq both just time out.

I have no idea what I should be changing where to help at all. As far as I know there isnt any firewalls, I do use a router though. never had any problems befor.

ftp uploads max at 400kbs, and i can download things at like 500kbs from a good server, but still slow as fuck.
