I was riding back in the 70s and back then you didn't have the equipment choices you did in the 80s and beyond. You know where we got our boards, we made them ourselves in shop class. Urethane wheels and tracker trucks came along and changed everything. I think cadillac wheels were the first to come out. All that new grip changed the way we could ride.

Then came the skate parks. I can remember going to the " Paved Wave " in Cocoa Fl. and riding the place in bare feet, no pads or helmet. It's come a looooong way since then but it was still fun back in the day.
