Same Dimension on rims and tyre = no difference
But usually people go for larger and wider rims, which will in some cases change the pivot point of the wheels, might even have to put in spacers to make them fit. This will move center of gravity away from the center of the car, putting a bigger stress on the Bearings and suspension in general = chance of breakdown when pressed hard (like cornering in high speed - do you really want your front wheel to break off while doing 80mph in a corner? )
Find a BMW experienced tuner(custom builder (or what you call it in english), and talk to him - order your gear there, fuck it if it cost you a extra $100 to buy it from him - its your life and your car that is at stake
