all the perfect parents here with advice. reminds me of that murry show where they send the kids to boot camp and scream at the kids, and stick them in a jail cell etc.. all these kids would cry and change.. but this one kid laugh about it all.. he said all my life my father screamed at me and abused me and you think some dumb ass dude screaming in my face is going to make me change.
I think you would need a whole background of the kid in order to give advice, if my son said he was going to kill himself, we would sit down and explain to him about what he just said, cause obsiously he doesn't understand what death is, and that doing that would make us very sad not to have him around anymore... etc etc.
