I think the tulips are mostly around may. I checked out a place with nice flowers (keukenhof) but it only open from march till may. I am afraid you will have to forget about flowers in the fall period.
Museums are open though! Offcourse there is the famous Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam. The Rijksmuseum has a special expo on Rembrandt since he died 400 years ago. Rotterdam has an excellent museum as well called Boymans van Beuningen. Work from Rembrandt, Berugel, Bosch, da Vinci and many others.
Rotterdam is about an hour away. It is famous for its port. Depending on how you measure (how do you measure?) it is the biggest port in the world. Rotterdam is also famous for his architecture :
Offcourse The Netherlands are famous for windmills, cheese and beer as well.
I am not sure what you are interested in.
I will be in the Netherlands from september 10 till 20.
Would love to show you something you like!
