certainly there are exceptions.
however, the generalization (and that's how i characterized it) is accurate.
and it is accurate all over the world. stereotypes exist for a reason, if they did not have some validity they would not become stereotypes.
lesbians are (on average) physically worse looking than straight women. and they seem unhappier than straight women.
interestingly, gay men are (on average) physically better looking that straight men, and seem happier.
