I got summoned back in May and requested a postponement - granted. So I finally got summoned again and this time I had to go or face contempt charges. So I show up and, within 30 minutes, am assigned to a fucking jury. The judge goes down the list questioning us all. The case revolved around this cat who was videotaped committing robberies of 2 different jewelry stores. In asking us if we had any issues that might prevent our ability to try this case indescriminently I had to raise my hand. I explained my
background to the judge. I told her, "I could buy possible innocence if the defendant were charged with 1 crime but this guy robbed two (2) different businesses and was captured by two (2) different video cams - the odds of his innocence are zero. I know what it takes to bring formal charges on a suspect in a case like this and they (the cops) wouldn't have pursued it unless they had him down cold..." I was dismissed quicker as shit!. Whew!
