I stay in Thailand now NOT because of the whores, contrary to popular belief, but because it is a great hub to explore all of Asia. At any time I can dip to the airport and catch a flight going anywhere and a new adventure is underway.
From Bangkok you can fly just about anywhere for dirt cheap.
